These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HeartCodes website, software, and services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by HeartCodes ("HeartCodes", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Who We Are
HeartCodes is a software studio that builds applications and tools for Christian communities and non-profit organizations, and shares some of these projects publicly through this site.
2. Use of the Services
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Services in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, other accounts, or related systems or networks;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services;
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code;
- Use automated means to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Services without our prior written consent.
3. Accounts
Some features of the Services may require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Donations
HeartCodes may accept voluntary donations to support its work. Donations are not payments for goods or services and, unless required by law or explicitly stated otherwise, are non-refundable. Donations are processed through third-party payment providers (such as PayPal or Stripe), and your use of those providers is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Services and their original content, features, and functionality are owned by HeartCodes and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Some projects may be released under open-source licenses; where that is the case, the applicable license terms will govern that specific project.
6. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by HeartCodes. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HeartCodes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Services.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
